Window details- before & after. Always asked for videos on my process, would you find a time lapse helpful?🤔

Day 22 of #MarchMeetTheMaker 'Close Up' | I wasn't sure what to post for this prompt, but decided on a close-up of some floral designs I drew on our shop @paperplanebristol's window recently. I love the blank canvas the big windows gives, and the freedom to draw what I want ... 🌿🌼
🍂 May the autumn breeze scatter your worries like fallen leaves 🍂
Coffeevolution is Huddersfield’s original indie cafe. It is situated on a corner, with large windows that let the light pour in. It makes a perfect spot for watching the world go by, which is one of the reasons I love it. My favourite spot is on one of benches outside, with a flat white & maybe some chocolate cake, or their really tasty porridge.
The cafe is owned by James Perkins, brother of Jeremy, 1 of 2 musicians who started the business about 20 years ago. I worked here for a year between art college & university. It was a great experience & I made some long lasting friendships with people I still see. I was delighted to have the opportunity to work on these windows. I wonder what my 19 year old self, working behind the counter, would have to say about it? 😊
When James & I were discussing this I knew exactly what I wanted to try. The drawings are a development of a few sketchbook doodles made last year. I wanted to create the feeling of autumnal leaves in movement. The message (above) was something that came to me later, but I’m glad I included. A friend texted me the very same morning I added the words to say she’d seen them & that they had lifted her spirits 💛
Huddersfield folk have a few weeks left to enjoy this drawing. I’ll be bringing you a Wintery theme at the start of December ❄️ Thanks to @jamespresso & all the guys at @coffeevolutionhuddersfield
