#HispanicHeritageMonth#Hispanics from #HartfordCT
In #1993, The #MariaSanchezWay in #WilliamsStreet in #Hartford was #dedicated to #Maria#Sanchez for all the #contributions to our #city.
Maria Sanchez moved to Hartford from #PuertoRico in #1954. Maria Sanchez, as many of the #Hispanics that were #migrating to Hartford, worked in the #tobaccofields. She used some of her money to help her family in Puerto Rico, and also saved some to #invest it to help the Spanish speaking community here in Hartford. Maria Sanchez shortly opened her store #MariasNewsStand on #AlbanyAvenue. The space was more than a store, it was also her office space in which many issues were discussed, and organized from. One of many things that came from her store
office was the need of a #Spanishspeakingpriest. Residents were paying a Spanish speaking priest that came from out of state to served the Spanish speaking community, and practice their #religion in their native language. In #1955 #FatherCooney was appointed for the Spanish speaking catholic community at #SacredHeartChurch in Hartford.
Another positive things that came from her front store was when Maria Sanchez founded the #PuertoRicanParade committee in #1964 which we still continue to celebrate every year. I’m very proud as a Puerto Rican and a #female to have such an amazing role model in our city.
Her #passion was for Spanish speaking residents to have the same rights as we are not only residents, but also residents that came to Hartford for a better life. Her organization skills and #determination not only became beneficial for the Spanish speaking residents, but also the whole city.
There are a lot of articles available on line in which you can learn much more about her and the so many things she contributed to the Hispanic History in Hartford. Photo and research by #juanitacrispin

We’ve been working on a little somethin, somethin for our customers that regularly host exhibitions and events. To find out more about our little giveaway, call 9629 9811
Though little in size this booklet had a big responsibility. It’s job was to help @woodsbagot to raise money for the Oxfam Trailwalker event and subsequently help to change lives around the world. We think that’s pretty special, and thought that this booklet along with the many people behind the event deserved a little praise. Great work guys! And a massive thank you for printing with Kwik Kopy William St 😊👍

TROY: A Life Well Lived // PS4 VR Edition // While this is still a work in progress, I thought I would share the overall concept. The idea was to have a “Earth version” of the game that you could find at Blipz and Chitz. After learning about Troy, the retro at home version of Roy from the @rickandmorty VR game by @adultswim Games, I thought what an amazing idea to bring to life. I can’t wait to bring this to life with even more features and extras than seen in the image. What would you like to see me design next?
We’ve been working on something big over at Fed Square 👀
This is the back view of a frame banner wall created for another happy client.
They were launching a new brand and required a banner to display their logo and to act as a background for photography taken at the launch event. This particular job featured a black coating on the back to stop light from carrying though to the front and ruining the design. And the best part - once the event was finished, our client was able to easily dissemble the frame, roll up the front and store it to reuse at their next event.
