When you need to remind your patient that they are so, so loved by their owners.
Seeing your pet and taking care of othere before, during and after surgery can be difficult on everyone's mind, body and heart. It's important to remember that they are under our care because someone loves them so much!
Weathering the storm together with our patients and clients can be just as equally rewarding as performing the skills we are trained to do. All we need to do is remember that we are fighting the same battle from various vantage points. 📸 Source: @veterinarytechnicians ➖➖➖➖➖➖
We celebrated all 7 of our Veterinary Technicians this week but we didn’t want to forget our one amazing Veterinary Assistant Eilis. She is our Doctor’s & Technicians support for appointments, maintaining the hospital, assisting and caring for our hospitalized patients. She is outstanding with our staff and clients. We are very proud to have her on our team. Eilis is currently studying at Medaille College to earn her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She also has attended the University of Maryland and studied Veterinary Medicine before transferring back here to the Western New York area. She is the proud parent of two Rabbits (Kelleu and Faedra), one Dog (Snowball), and one Horse ( Little Man). Her hobbies include horseback riding, reading and embroidery.
We are grateful for Eilis and are proud to have her here at Ken-Ton❤️ #veterinaryassistant#vetassistantlife#appreciationpost#vetlife#veterinarylife#tonawandaveterinarian❤️
Jenni is our newest technician here at Ken-Ton and what better week to introduce her than Vet Tech Week! She brings a vast amount of experience in patient care. She is passionate about the welfare of pets and puts her all into the care of our patients. She also brings extensive experience in exotic care as well.
Jenni is a 2012 graduate of Medaille College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Outside of our clinic her interests include reading, yoga, hiking, biking and crafts. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two dogs ( Ruger and Tillie Rose), three cats (Zoe, Lynx and Happy), her Chinchilla (Buster) and a Painted Turtle (Buddy). Her veterinary interests include exotic medicine, surgery and diagnostic imaging.
We thank Jenni for choosing our clinic to be a part of. We appreciate your hard work and compassion that you have brought to Ken-Ton❤️ #veterinarytechnician#technicianlife#appreciationpost#vettechweek#veterinarylife#veterinarynurse#veterinarytechniciansofinstagram#tonawandaveterinarian❤️
Tortoises (20+ kg like Caramel here) or Terrapins (water-living) actually require some very specific care in order for them to live long, happy healthy lives. 💚
