  • [Sony Pictures] Written by Carlos Crestwell Movie 60 “Venom” - Director of Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less Ruben Fleischer takes a respectable crack at one of your favorite villians from the Spiderman undervise. Plot: Reporter Eddie Brock has everything going for him, a lovely fiance, a fulfilling career when bad career decision turns his entire life on it’s head and then one more puts it through a spin cycle. Brock finds himself sharing his body with a otherworldly symbiote with a mind and body of its own. Cast: Spearheaded by Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slate this wasn’t a film that needed much star power and obviously wasn’t budgeted for it to begin with. I’ll say that the handpicked group who got a majority of the screen time here was well done. Post Credit Take: Tom Hardy is clearly the piece that makes this entire film work. He give a charming realistic take on Eddie Brock as anti-hero rather than a villain wich in it of it is an interesting take for a character who’s mostly known for being a bad guy. I will say that I didn’t care much for the screenplay for this film; in fact I thought it was horrific. What makes this work is the acting and buddy comedy/action flick this movie turned into between Brock and Venom which was honestly genius. Michelle Williams who’s a very talented actress was misused a lot mainly a device to move the story along but it’s hard not to enjoy her on screen time. This was a movie of decent action, pace a lackluster villain but still a film that made you root for Venom which isn’t easy to do so I think it’s a film worth watching. #Venommovie #Copperwiire #Afterthecredits #Movielovers
