Blarney Castle itself has a really interesting history, that is worth looking at if you are planning to visit. It originally dates from sometime before 1200, when a timber fortification was believed to have been built on the site, although no evidence remains of this. Around 1210 this was replaced by a stone castle. It was then later rebuilt after being destroyed in 1446 ☘️🇮🇪☘️
