This outfit is the sweet spot for professional wear for me--put together but not fussy. Now, how to look like this everyday 🤔 Also my students loooved my new Rothy's and were super impressed that they are made of recycled water bottles. Do you talk clothes in the workplace? I am sensitive to it being a fine line sometimes with my students and I don't really know what the balance should be when they comment on my appearance...

I've had those vintage collar for years and finally wore it! I never knew how to wear it lol it was from my guy's great grandma? Grandma's? Stash of things she's been keeping for forever. I'm glad to finally pair it with something, and it looks kinda cool! Rest of the outfit is @wagoodwill
I once arrived to our school’s graduation ceremony, the one where the teachers lead the graduates onto the football field in front of the entire community, and as I pulled into the parking lot, I looked down at my feet to discover that I was wearing my fuzzy slippers. I had forgotten to take them off and put on my shoes before I left the house. 🤦♀️ ⠀
In my defense, I was 7 months pregnant at the time. But honestly, who doesn’t want to wear slippers to work? These Sam Edelman tassel slip on loafers are so comfortable, you will think you ARE wearing your comfy slippers. But you will look ridiculously cute instead of plain old ridiculous. ⠀
They are size 7.5 - Link in Bio - ⠀
I’ve got some other great foot candy. I’ll post them in my stories so check them out ✌️ ⠀ ⠀

The dream of the 90s is alive...in my closet. 😆 .
This was my last summer sewing project of this year, so I didn't get to wear it much, but it should work with layers in the fall. Paired with a denim jacket, I'll be fully committed to the 90s vibe .
The style lines of this 90s slip dress caught my eye at the thrift store a couple months ago (Swipe to see the before). I had to let all the princess seams out so it would zip, as well as hem it to a less confusing length. It originally looked like it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a midi or maxi, which is a common occurrence on my short frame. The original length reminded me of the standard early 90's mom dresses .
It may not look much different, but in the original state of the dress, I had pancake boobs and the dress didn't zip up past my hips. I'm sure it was originally intended to be more body skimming rather than body hugging, but I quite like the snug fit through the top .
I feel like I had a dress in this exact shade and floral pattern when I was a kid. Now all I need is a white tshirt to wear underneath and I'll really be on trend. 😉 .
Last bit of conference packing outfits. And in about three weeks I'll do it all over again! I was talking to a friend yesterday about conference wear when it's cold out: do you have a go to item to stave off freezing conference hotel AC? It's the woooorst.
