This beautiful soul turns another year older and another year wiser 🎈 though she’s already wise beyond her years!
@rochelle_fox is the CEO of @mindspo (with her partner @chrissoll ) a company through which wants to normalise meditation and make it more accessible to everyone.
This is where our paths aligned ✨They say that when the student is ready, the teacher will come; and just when I decided I was going to try meditation, Rochelle came into my life! Talk about manifestation!
She is stunningly beautiful outside but what is most beautiful about her is her ability to be vulnerable and authentic; qualities I value highly and try to uphold myself.
She has shown me that changing your thoughts and behaviours is possible and I am so incredibly proud of how far she’s come and where she is going. This chicka is going to stir a revolution so watch this space.
Happiest of birthdays to you and may all your dreams come true! X
Today, seven years ago I hopped on a plane to Costa Rica. It was my first trip to this beautiful country, my first surf trip (I had only just taken my first surf lesson a couple months prior), and I was still a NYC corporate girl. Little did I know, this week long vacation full of surfing (well, a ton of wipeouts!!!) and pouring rain was going to lead me down a different life path. A year later after that first trip, I was back on a plane to Costa Rica, this time to live full time in Tamarindo a month after quitting my job in NYC.
Fast forward six years later, I am still in awe and disbelief that my former NYC corporate girl self had the gusto to leave behind a well paying job for a life chock full of unknowns. Samba to the Sea has always been about following my dreams and living life to the fullest. What has resulted is being able to surf everyday, chasing sunsets wherever I travel, and being able to make a living with one of my passions, photography. But, it hasn’t been all beautiful waves and magical sunsets and that’s totally OK because that's life! It's messy, beautiful, hard, magical, crazy, etc. Most importantly, life is what YOU make of it. Or as I like to say, the grass is greener where you water it! Who knows where the next seven years will take me, but I sure am down to continue on this beautiful adventure! ***AND I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this day with y’all than sharing my podcast interview that went live today on Creative Empire @mycreativempire with the amazing gals Christina @christinascalera and Reina @reinaandcompany !!!!
