I MADE IT! (4130m) 🇳🇵 #AnnapurnaBaseCamp
After many days of hiking uphill, downhill and uphill (there's a lot of uphill) and battling the snow, slippery rocks and achy legs... I made it to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) in Nepal! We saw where the avalanche came down (see previous caption) but thankfully it was only small and trekkers were able to pass by. Yay! So, we arrived here in the early afternoon with plenty of time to eat and rest before waking up early to capture this sunrise at 6:07am.
The buildings you can see in the bottom right are the guesthouses at ABC. With an altitude of 4,130m and temperatures dropping to -8°C, sleeping was tough. It also gets very busy so you'll often share your room with a few other travellers or even have to sleep out in the dining area. But just look at those views! Sometimes you have to go outside of your comfort zone to experience some magic ☀
