Cheat meals, when used correctly, don't have to throw you off the wagon. In fact, cheat meals can help boost your metabolism and ward off the feeling of deprivation. Just make sure you don't make them cheat DAYS where you go nuts and eat cr*p all day long just because you think you deserve it. Pre-planned cheat meals have always worked for me and they can do the same for you as long as you are eating healthy throughout the week and exercising regularly. Before even going out, I often will decide what am I going to splurge on. You can also check out the restaurant menu before and pick exactly what you will be having once you get there..... then stick to the plan so you prevent overeating. And most importantly, do not feel guilty afterwards. It will reset you mentally and you'll be ready to handle another week of eating clean. .
