Y’all know I’ve been working on my skin because let’s face it.. no amount of makeup is going to look good if the canvas itself is out of control. A staple in my routine lately to help minimize my dark spots, help rejuvenate my skins texture and give me an overall healthy glow to my skin especially when it’s having a hormonal freak out has been the @caneandaustin glycolic peel pads. Once in the morning and once in the evening after I wash my face and this has helped to let my other products work more efficiently and effectively. I’m glad to know that @caneandaustin always has my back. .
. Did you know about this product before I mentioned it? Do you use glycolic in your skin care regimen? .

Do you guys find organizing therapeutic? I mean I don’t know how I feel about it right now cause half of my products are still packed, my vanity is a mess and I don’t want to move an inch. Anyhoo Happy Tuesday!

Hi friends, long time no post! I’ve been using the same routine day in and day out for a few months, with only slight modifications. I’ve accumulated a pretty large stash of new stuff, so it’s time to start patch testing, and switching things up. My motto is to stick to the same routine format whenever possible, and just add some new products here and there without changing everything at once (skin thrives with consistency!) Anyways, I couldn’t be more thrilled to have some new skincare to play with, it keeps my regular routines interesting & enjoyable.
. Let’s start with @huxley_us! Their secret of sahara anti-gravity cream* is such a beautiful formula, and perfect for dry skin like mine. It’s extremely thick, almost like shea butter but with water ingredients too. I like to warm it in my hands before applying, since it softens the formula. This is ideal for fall/winter and anyone with a compromised moisture barrier. However I would not recommend this to oily skin at all, it’s exclusively geared for dry skin like mine. It’s also absolutely packed with prickly pear extract, squalene, beta glucan, olive oil extract, hyaluronic acid, etc.
. Since the texture is so thick, I love using this OVER my moisturizer like a sleeping mask. The only downside is the anti-gravity cream contains a lot of fragrance, as does the entire Huxley line. It’s a very pleasant scent but I still wish they had some fragrance free options. Anyways I’ve completely fallen head over heels for their masks & essences so I’ll talk about those soon! 😍
. @complexbeautyco was kind enough to share two of their facial masks with me, and I’ve already claimed the thirst quencher* as my daily go-to. 🙌 For real, I’ve been using this every night since it arrived, it’s freakin incredible. Thirst quencher has got blue tansy and has this gorgeous jello-like texture that melts into your face upon contact. I keep it in the fridge before use and it’s 10x better than @herbivorebotanical’s blue tansy mask we all love so much. 😍 If you’re looking for a blue tansy mask that nips sensitivity in the bud and hydrates tf out of your face, this it it! #sheetmaskreview for the aqua h.c. moist collagen peel off modeling mask from @mdspick_official 🤔 So I picked this mask up on sale at tj maxx, but normally it's for sale at target for $8 for one modeling mask. To be honest it was a good modeling mask, but was it better than any other modeling masks I have tried that retail for much less no. So for that reason alone, unless you are just pinning to do a modeling mask I would skip purchasing this product. The mask was a mix of a gel and powder, when combined form the mask. The modeling material was very drippy, I got drips on the chest while I was laying down waiting for it to dry. The mask didn't have a scent I could place, and while it didn't bother my skin. I also wouldn't say my skin felt soothed when the mask was drying. Over all this was an ok but not an exciting mask. Glad I was able to test it at a discount, and didn't have to pay the full steap price. Omorovicza - Queen of Hungary Mist
Price: $99 for 100ml (fullsize)
I'm just gonna say it... I don't like face mists. I don't like the way they feel, I don't see the point and I'd rather just of or swipe over my face with a soaked cotton pad.
That being said, this mist is better than most. The misting action on the bottle (I only have the travel size) is so incredibly soft that I almost can't feel it on my skin. It's gentle and hydrating. The scent is very pleasant as well and overall, for a mist, it's a beautiful product. However I wouldn't buy the full size. Purely because I don't need it. It's an expensive step that I can happily live without. I will keep the bottle though and fill it with other toners once it's done.

Whenever I see a sheet mask I think of pampering myself with extra hydration.
I think of the aromatic tea I'm about to sip - or a glass of Pinot noir and the smooth bossa nova playing in the background with me laying down comfortably on my couch. A good 30 min of myself in the middle of the week.
Okay, I basically just planned out my evening.
What's your usual schedule for midweek ?
PS: I'm not sure if these brands tested on animals or not. Bought them before the cruelty free transition. •
Quick #amroutine today! Let's get a bit serious today #skincarecommunity:
Do you buy something just because IG "told" you to? Meaning, do you buy products that are hyped in this skincare community even if it isn't for your skin type or concerns? Like using antiaging products before 20yrs as prevention just because they are Insta famous? Or anti blemish treatments even you don't have it? My point: I've done it. Sometimes I do it. But really, I don't want to. My stash has to be only and directed to my skin and nothing else. Am I right? Big kiss. Cris

Have you guys noticed the all-new Paula’s Choice packaging? It’s suddenly so fresh and edgy looking. Yes, I’m a skincare packaging writer so I have an eye for it. But I’ve always been cool with the fact that Paula’s top-shelf serums and lotions came in kinda nerdy looking tubes and dropper bottles. It didn’t matter because you know what’s inside is the finest formula you can get — the best antioxidant serum, the best anti-aging moisturizer, the best skin care out there. So I love Paula even more now! With the new packaging intro, the brand launched a 4-product range called DEFENSE — focused on something really hot, and really important to me: the impact of pollution and environmental damage on skin. You may recall that I reviewed the new Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly a few weeks back. I loved the texture and the anti-pollution claims. But I had to call out the fact that in order to be a really effective defense against environmental attacks, it needed far stronger antioxidant potency. So leave it to Paula to NAIL IT. The new DEFENSE Antioxidant Pore Purifier is packed with antioxidants. It goes beyond just infusing skin with antioxidants though. This silky serum is formulated with a potent blend of pore-refining Salicylic Acid, skin-brightening Azelaic Acid and, of course, multiple antioxidants in the form of Vitamin C, Niacinamide, White Tea Leaf Extract, Coffee Bean Extract and Soybean Seed Extract. If you live in a city like I do, you can’t afford to go without effective pollution defense. All those micronized particles are clogging your pores and doing real damage to your vital skin barrier. This is an EXCELLENT solution. ✅@paulaschoice DEFENSE Antioxidant Pore Purifier

🍐 #sparklesandnargleschallenge day 6: Tickle the pear🍐
This one is about sharing our skincare hacks! I have really enjoyed reading other people's skincare hacks, so here is a couple of my own 🙂
These are tips to avoid dehydrated skin, and keep your skin nice and plump👌
One of the things I learned to do about a year ago, is not to towel dry my skin after cleansing. I swipe my hands over my face to get rid of most of the water, and apply a hydrating toner while my skin is still damp. Then pat it in for a bit, and apply another layer. The toners in the picture are some of my favorite hydrating ones:
🍁 Purito centella green level calming toner*, decanted
🍁 Muji light toning water moisture, travel size
🍁 Cezanne skin conditioner high moist, decanted
🍁 Etude House Soon Jung pH 5.5 relief toner
My next tip is to continue with the rest of your routine without waiting for the toner or your serums to fully absorb (/dry). This helps lock in some of the hydration, and stop the trans-epidarmal water loss 🔒💦 Also, wet skin absorbs ingredients much better than dry skin does!
Of course, this tip does not apply to certain actives; chemical exfoliants, retinol and retinoids should be applied to dry skin to avoid irritation. Also, I do wait for my vitamin C serum to absorb before continuing with my routine. I don't believe in wait times per se, but I want it to absorb for a minute without being diluted by other products.
What are your best skincare tips? I'd love to know 😊

Dr. Van Der Hoog is the first local skincare brand i have tried in the Netherlands. I desperately needed a tonic as the one i used is empty. This tonic is the most gentle one so far. There is no alcohol, no paraben nothing to irritate my skin. It is hypo sensitive product so it removes residues without causing any redness. No perfume and no chemical so i put it on cotton pads and clean my face with this. I didn’t get any sticky feeling after i applied it to my face so i believe it is a very good product and i will try other products from this brand in the future.
Do you prefer a liquid highlight or a powder highlight? I love how powder highlights are so quick and easy to apply but also love how versatile the liquid highlights can be.😉✨✨

Day 2: Amortentia
The Hanyul Pure Artemisia Fresh Calming Water and Leegeehaam's Grow Hyal B5 toner are my /best/ smelling skincare products. They don't have artificial fragrances and the fragrance listed are derived natural flower and plant extracts. They both smell like fresh leaves and I love it haha
Day 2: I must not tell lies
I have a lot of products for this category in mind, but I have only 2 left in my stash because I usually sell or give them away when they don't work well for me!
The V&M Underarmour Acai and Mulberry just doesn't go well with my body chemistry, it actually made my pits smell worse throughout the day HAHAHA 😩 A lot of other people like this though, YMMV also applies on our pits hahaha
I remember when Whamisa products used to be on everybody's wishlist! Unfortunately this just didn't do anything for my skin anymore. Maybe it's because I don't produce as much sebum as I used to so this couldn't improve my skin anymore. I'm also selling this one if anybody's interested! DM me for it and I'll give you free shipping~ ✨ ((is this the first time I posted 2x in one day?? #roadto100posts HAHA))
"This sunscreen is an absolute love! It's really lightweight and it really feels as if you didn't put any sunscreen at all."
Thank you for the lovely photo and review @sweetscintillate 🤗
Some of my favourite @drunkelephant skincare sweets!
I love everything about drunk elephant. I love the vibrant candy colours of the packaging, and the minis that are cute enough to eat! But its what's inside of these sweet treats that I love the most.
Learning about the "suspicious 6" was a game changer for me and my sensitive skin. I've been #SLSfree and #dryingalcoholfree for a while now, but since I started using drunk elephant and other #fragrancefree#dyefree#essentialoilfree#chemicalscreenfree and #siliconefree skincare, my skin has thanked me for it.
Fragrance is definitely the biggest irritant for me - essential oils and even added "natural fragrances" send my skin into a frenzy. Since eliminating fragrance, switching to physical sunscreen, and gradually removing silicone from my product line up, my skin has become much less angry and congested. Drunk elephant showed me that silicone free formulas can still be texturally elegant and effective.
Some things I use still have a very small amount of dimethicone in it but have never aggravated my skin. For example, my beloved @stratiaskin liquid gold, of which I'm currently on my third bottle, or my good old @cerave PM lotion. So those I let pass, but will try to find silicone free alternatives when they finish.
Trying to find good silicone free makeup too is a whole other ball game. But since changing my skincare routine, I've been confidently enjoying going #foundationfree on an almost every day basis, which was something I never thought I could do.
So thank you, Tiffany and drunk elephant, for showing me that it's possible to eliminate these "suspicious" ingredients, and still have awesome skincare. The relationship between me and my skin has never been stronger.
P.S. the sweets are also #sugarfree 😉
