Throwback to this magical sunrise in a Wanaka, New Zealand ✨
I took this image a little over 2 years ago, with my first @sonyalpha set-up, the a7II camera body + 24-70mm f/4 lens. Using a tripod allowed for a longer exposure and that silky effect of the water. It’s still one of my favorite images 🏔

This is how we look when we finally make it somewhere we’ve been dreaming about for a while 🤩
The last couple days have been a mix of rain and snow, and we’ve really made the best of it. But I’m not going to hide how excited I was to see the sun this morning. I mean, Milford Sound looks pretty damn beautiful when cloaked in sunshine and flanked by blue skies.
And when you add in seals, dolphins and penguins, well it makes for a pretty magical day!

Spring view of Mount Ngauruhoe. I love this hiking trail, it has many faces. Visit it in every season. Thanks for the pic to my friend, Andras Pocsai.
What’s around the bend? 🌲❤️
Walking and driving through South Island’s beech forests, with their peaceful lines, happy greens and leaves that turn bright orange once fallen, filled me with an easy calm 〰️
\\\ If you follow/know me, you likely know that I love trees. My year 12 major artwork included a 1.5 metre-tall felt sculpture of one!
Maybe it’s to do with all their lines and textures, or that they are symbols of life, growth and strength, or that some are just so ancient; I love to look at them and wonder who else has stood where I stand across all the years.

PEOPLE - Make this world go round, it's people that create stories to tell, technology is a tool for us to tell those stories, but people will always need to make them. @kurt.mcdonald has likely got a few from spending his days travelling the world spinning wrenches on the mountain bike world cup. 🚲 #husscreative
Earnslaw Burn was definitely a BIG highlight of the NZ trip, having never been in a helicopter before that was an awesome experience in itself! But arriving in Earnslaw Burn and having this magnificent place all to ourselves was truly life changing. I saw this place on the TV show Travel Guides Australia and I'm sooo glad that I made the effort to come here.

Add this place to your bucket list friends! I will go back any chance I get, there's just something about having solitude in a place like this. It heightens the senses, you can see every tiny glacial waterfall and listen to the avalanches and it just reminds you how small you are in this big world!
