Rated as one of the top 10 difficult trek in India and the top difficult trek in Maharashtra, the Harishchandragad trek via nalichi vaat is no lesser than any high altitude treks.
This trek offers a variety of flavours starting from rice fields to dense forest, waterfall, rock patches and what not.
The trek starts from belpada village. There are many small water bodies around the trek. After hike through dense forest, arrives this rocky valley with lose rocks. This is one of the most tiring part of the Trek.
The valley is steep with lot of slippery rocks, so one has to be very cautious while walking through this part. Secondly the heat is too much. Which contributes to dehydration.
Next comes rock climbing. There are 2 places where you have to do rock climbing. If you already have rope attached then it becomes easier to climb.
The whole trek takes around 7 hrs.
The overall trek is tiring, but the beauty of konkan Kada at the top of the peak will take out all the tiredness at once.
