2 doors Kinsale.
There’s something about Irish doors. The colours, the half-moon windows, and the decorative flower pots. Maybe It’s the symmetry.
I’m not sure what. But I love these two I found in the colourful town of Kinsale.
👋🏽 Tanya here, founder & in charge of Make The Move’s social & photography. More shots from a summer kayaking excursion to Dalkey Island in South Dublin ☀️ there is a bevy of watersports around Dublin and in Ireland, from paddle boarding, sailing, kayaking & surfing out west! 🌿 Time in nature is one of the reasons I ditched the big city vibe in NYC for Dublin 💙 and why I decided to start Make The Move with other expats to help people escape the urban 9-5 grind 🚗🏙
Beautiful artistic representation of our latest Hooker Skills Training last Sunday, by one of our crew, Aidan Pawaroo.
If you would like to join our crew, then pop along to our Open Day this Saturday 17th at Katie's Claddagh Cottage @claddaghdesigns
During the day we will also be celebrating the launch of a NEW Galway Hooker Restoration Project.
In association with Bádóirí an Cladaig, Galway Hookers & Port of Galway Sea Scouts & Sailing clubs in Galway City & County, Galway Bay Boat Tours is embarking on a new community project to restore the “Lovely Anne” Gleoiteog.
Built in 1882 by famous Galway boat-wright, Patrick Brannelly (famous for building An Tónaí & Morning Star) this 130 year-old workboat has recently been returned to Ross Forde (Brannelly's Great-Great Grandson) & family (Cunninghams), all the way from Donegal.
This group of keen sailors, fishing families & boat-builders have already started to restore this beauty, and they would like to share the experience with the local community.
And, what better place than Katie's Claddagh Cottage, Upper Fairhill Road, Galway City.
Saturday 17th: 11am - 4pm.
This sensitively restored traditional dwelling is the perfect place to bring our “Lovely Anne” back to her former glory.
So, pop along, have a cuppa and a chat, & find out about our Galway Hooker Junior & Adult Training Programmes that we are running over the Winter / Spring, with the view to recruiting a larger Hooker Crew to join us on Galway Bay in 2019.
