This is your little reminder to spend 10 seconds every morning to put on sunscreen. Yes, even in fall. Sunscreen should be part of your routine every single day. 🍂 Hands up if sunscreens are already part of your daily skincare routine. 🙋♀️

Many of us probably see facial cleansing as the easiest step in skincare, perhaps because all of us have grown up with practicing cleanliness from a very young age. But I also think that facial cleansing is a part of skincare that’s so easy to get wrong! I’ve seen in myself and even others a lot of skin issues arise from using the wrong cleanser alone eg. excessive dryness, dehydration, irritation, even acne. So below, I thought I’d make a list of things that a cleanser should AND shouldn’t do.
A cleanser should:
✔️ Be gentle. The face should feel just normal while the cleanser is on and rinsed off.
✔️ Have a pH level of around 4-5. Our skin’s natural pH level is approx this amount, and many water-based cleansers sadly have a pH that’s much higher. Cleansers with a higher pH can cause the skin to become more alkaline, which has been shown to be a favoured environment for bacteria to grow in...
✔️ Foams minimally to none at all. Most of the really foamy cleansers are the ones that cause a lot of dryness to the skin. See below why that’s not a good thing...
A cleanser shouldn’t:
❌ Feel tight, irritated or dry after rinsing. Even if you have oily skin & want to “mattify” it. Our skin needs some oils to keep it protected and safe from bacteria entry. Stripping it too much can cause potential damage.
❌ Have to be pricey. If you have a $60 cleanser from Sephora your skin likes, of course that’s okay! But for a product that only stays on the skin for a few seconds, I encourage finding a cheaper alternative.
❌ Have to do anything else aside from cleansing the skin! If you want an anti-ageing or anti-acne product etc, a cleanser isn’t going to solve your life problems. Don’t listen to the claims.
I hope the pointers above clarified a few things about what makes a decent cleanser! The picture above is just a few of the cleansers I have at hand, so I’m thinking of creating a Part 2 and 3 to this post with cleanser recommendations for oily & dry skin! What do you guys think of this idea? Let me know down with a 👍🏻 or 👎🏻 in the comments below!

Summer is pretty much over and we will all be updating our routines for the colder weather. Here is a shot of the products that I have been using consistently.
. 🍋Coola Sport White Tea 50 Spf Suncreen- Considering how dewy this sunscreen is, I should use it more during the winter to combat my dryness 😅.
. 🍋Skyn Iceland Oxygen Infused Night Cream - I enjoy this cream. It has the properties I enjoy, dense, smooth and hydrating. I also enjoy that it doesn' t have the menthol sensation that most of the othwr products in this line has. Not sure I'll repurchase.
🍋The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + 1% Zinc - I don't think I'll being buying this one again. I would rather stick to a form of Vitamin C. I think once I stop using it would be the true test if it did anything for my skin.
🍋The Ordinary Retinol 1% + Squalene - I wish I had tried retinol sooner! I noticed results right away. I don't have wrinkles but my skin is smoother... As if it has been blurred. I noticed my skin is much brighter. I do have some flaking/shedding which I'm trying to see if I can treat with my @pmdbeauty.
🍋Juice Beauty Green Apple Brightening Essence - I really do love this essence, I recommend it for it super soothing properties❤
How do you prepare your routine for winter, besides adding hydration?

Buon lunedi ragazze/i!
Grazie a voi ho raggiunto gli 800 followers...e chi l'avrebbe mai detto! 😉😍
E quali altre maschere @biogei_cosmetici potrei provare?

What an interesting moisturizer! And I say that because it’s not one I would normally have access to. If it looks like it came straight out of a classic European pharmacy, it’s because it did. A Sorelle Care brand, Numis Med’s formulas are medical grade for treating extremely dry skin. And as things begin to cool down fast in NYC with the oncoming winter chill, I’m looking forward to putting this to the test! The NUMIS MED 5% UREA + HYALURONIC ACID FACIAL CREAM has a super rich texture that’s as thick as the thickest moisturizers I’ve tried, including my fave Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream (recently reviewed on the Skincarma blog). Urea has the ability to relieve the discomfort experienced by extremely dry skin, including itchiness. And while Urea can be a component of urine, the synthetic version mimics the biomimetic or skin-compatible qualities of the natural ingredient. Chamomile Flower Oil helps to soothe and calm irritation as well. And I love all extracts and forms of chamomile, especially Bisabolol. It’s just one of the best ingredients for soothing irritation. In addition, the UREA + HYALURONIC ACID FACIAL CREAM contains several excellent skin soothing humectants and non-fragrant plant oils, including Glycerin, Shea Butter, Squalane and Sodium Hyaluronate — the salt form of Hyaluronic Acid that’s more compatible with skin. Parent company Sorelle Care is doing something really cool in pulling together a range of natural and medical grade European skincare products and bringing them to the North American market. This one’s a win for dry skin! Especially in winter. ❄️❄️❄️

Regular exfoliation is extremely important for someone like me who has oily and acne-prone skin. It's a common misconception that your dead skin cells are bad. That thin layer of dead skin is a natural part of your protective acid mantle and it serves as an additional barrier against the sun's burning and aging UV rays aside from melanin. It's the excessive accumulation of dead skin cells that is actually bad because it causes dullness and potential blockage of your pores leading to acne.
But the problem is that I have sensitive skin. I can't use highly abrasive and harsh exfoliants on my face like those derived from apricot seeds, walnut shells, or sea salt. I prefer to use cellulose peeling gels coupled with acid active serums such as those with AHAs, BHAs, Vit C, retinoids, or enzymes. Your skin will greatly benefit when you employ both mechanical and chemical exfoliation in your routine. Expect a much brighter and clearer complexion when done regularly and correctly.
I've tried a lot already and their effects are really undeniable. But right now, I'm really curious with @theskincarecurator@purito_official ABP Triple Synergy Liquid. It contains surface-clarifying mandelic acid (AHA), pore-purifying betaine salicylate (BHA), and hydrating gluconolactone (PHA) combined in just one potent yet mildly exfoliating serum.
Hoping to win in this giveaway contest because I'm a big fan of Purito products. They are specifically designed to have the least amount of ingredients so that you'll get more of the actives. I'm also a big fan of Skincare Curator because of their good customer service, authentic products, and freebies every products. I can't wait to use this product because it's really promising and I must say it's #KinessApproved already. 😍🤗
•[a month with P50v | werbung]•
#biologiquerecherche p50, probably one of the most hyped cult acid toner/ chemical exfoliant out there! I won’t go into details about the mystical aura surrounding it, instead, just about my experience with the milder variant that is p50v after a tad more than a month use (swipe for INCIs - cocktail of different AHAs and some extracts and my beloved niacinamide).
I am no stranger to chemical exfoliant, have been using AHA and BHA for years and did at one point learned the hard lesson after burning my face with them and completely destroyed my skin barrier 🙈. So I did start slowly and proceed with caution with p50v. But boy this stuff is hardcore, the purging and how it initially stung did make me question my whole skincare existence to no end, almost 🙈. But I persevere and went straight to skincare purgatory and back again here to report my success 😆, so here I go:
💖 use it as the first step after cleansing, with a cotton pad and patting motion. Limit myself to the pleasurable stinging sensation for night use only, started every 3 nights now to almost daily with regular break. No retinols because p50v is possessive that way to me and doesn’t like to share with other actives
💖 didn’t expect purging since I use AHA, BHA and retinol regularly but I did enter purgatory with p50v and stayed there for 2 weeks: lots of icky things came to surface. I was sad, my skin looked sad too, we were nowhere close to that soft and smooth skin 😓
💖 entering 3.week: my skin is healing, skin is so soft and stubborn clogged pores disappear, texture improvement!
💖 4. to 5.week: I have a glow!! My skin looks healthy, with a proper glow tho I still have some whiteheads, but limited to chin area only. Definitely an improvement! Can’t believe that i can rock that dewy (not oily) skin look😍
🤔 something to observe further: tho my skin seems to be healthier, it feels also more thirsty than usual. But at least I don’t see signs of over exfoliation 😆
💖 helpful assistant along p50v journey
#klairs toner to up my hydration game.
#paulaschoicede omega serum to fortify the skin barrier.
#cremeplacenta to speed up healing processes

☀️Summer AM routine - I’ve been using this super simple AM routine consistently this summer. I like as few step/layers as possible in summer as I don’t like feeling layered up in warmer weather! A good cleanser, antioxidant serum & SPF are all I need👌🏼 But Winter is coming so I’ll be changing this routine up starting this month, stay tuned...
🌟Cleanse: @cerave Hydrating Cleanser
🌟Antioxidant serum: @skinceuticals_uki Phloretin CF* - I’ve used this every day for the past couple of months and it’s now finished. Personally I think this has done a great job of offering antioxidant protection by preventing free radicals forming and keeping my pigmentation/Melasma in check. I was in Portugal in July and normally after a sunny holiday like that my Melasma would have flared up (despite me still acting like a vampire in the sun) but this is the best my skin tone has looked after a sunny summer 🙌🏼 I would have liked to see a bit more help fading any existing pigmentation thanks to the 10% L-ascorbic Acid ingredient but can’t say I’ve noticed this. I would definitely consider buying this again next summer but I’ll be adding some new more hydrating steps to my Winter AM routine next.
🌟SPF: @shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF50+ for Sensitive Skin.
I’ve always wanted to try @theouai hair products. I haven’t been into hair care before, but lately I am interested in looking for nice products to care of my mane.
What the product claims:
A multitasking leave in hair mist with thermal protection to reduce frizz and flyaways for perfectly smooth, silky hair. - Primes hair for style, protects against heat, and smooths flyaways - Leaves hair smooth, shiny, and manageable - Conditions and detangles •••••••
If you guys didn’t know, I have oily frizzy hair with a sensitive scalp (sighs). Most hair products whether its a shampoo or not reacts badly and leaves me with a greasy itchy scalp. I honestly didn’t expect to like this THAT much. If I were given the choice for any ouai product it, this wouldn’t be my first.
I spray this on my wet hair after a shower. I spray a generous amount actually and leave it to dry (after massaging the product in, otherwise it may be too heavy). My hair smells SO GOOD afterwards, its the type of smell that anyone can sniff off you while you are standing next to them (yes I got compliments). The formula is lightweight and it absorbs quickly, the best part of it all? It doesn’t make my hair greasy at all! (GOD BLESS)
I noticed my hair getting remarkable softer after using it (The same result I used to get after using two hair masks and a conditioner before). As for frizziness, well it hasnt completely disappeared. Since I mostly focus this conditioner on the back of my head I do see less frizziness there but its not completely gone. I did notice my hair feeling more lively than before.
It claims to help with detangling your hair, but honestly I didn’t see much a difference with tangles or shininess while using it.
Would I buy this in full size?
yes, I know its expensive but it easily replaced three conditioners I used to use together AND it gives my hair a nice smell. (If you are allergic to scents then this isn’t for you)
This product is a mini that was sent to me as a gift with a purchase from @ghenas_makeup

As we head toward the warmer months, a common complaint is increased pigmentation and discolouration of the skin. But what is pigmentation and what causes it? Pigmentation is caused by excessive production of melanin. This is due to sun exposure, hormones or genetics. When suffering from pigmentation, it can make the skin look uneven, damaged, and a little more aged than it actually is. The best thing we can do is prevent pigmentation by wearing SPF 50+ sunscreen daily, avoiding direct sun exposure (even if you are sitting inside) and wearing a hat🧢
Vitamin C is a true skincare powerhouse. It neutralises free radicals and helps skin defend itself against oxidative stress. NEW! BioLumin-C Serum harnesses the full power of Vitamin C to enhance the skin’s natural defense system, helping it fight back against premature signs of ageing and stop damage before it starts.

The most beautiful makeup of a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy.
Another fabulous product from Glowhill! I think I like this one more than their sparkly black one.
This particular mask has pearl and diamond powder for a brightening effect, and peels off much easier than other peel-off masks. It also has a pretty pearlescent shimmer.
I can't wait to try other things that this lovely brand has to offer. This is my third item from Glowhill, and I plan on trying more.

Weekends should leave you refreshed, not exhausted. Here are 5 tips for making the most of your days off: Disconnect - Put down your phone, walk away from your computer, and take the time you need to unwind! If you are constantly reading and responding to work emails out of work emails, you’re never really giving your brain the break it deserves.
Exercise - If you work a standard desk job, you’re spending at least 40 hours per week sitting in your workspace. The weekend is the perfect time to get up, get moving, and work some movement into your schedule! Do Something You Enjoy - Life can get crazy, that many of us no longer make time for hobbies, passions, and the things we enjoy that make for a healthy work/life balance. Whatever your interests are, making the time to actually pursue them is crucial.
Sleep - Oftentimes, our lack of motivation is a direct result of our sleep schedules. When your schedule is a little less demanding on the weekends, use that extra time to sleep in and catch up on some much-needed sleep. Plan Ahead - To avoid that Monday panic, take some time on Sunday night to take a little bit of stress out of the rest of your week. Create lists to keep you organised for the next few days. Prepare a few meals or ingredients ahead of time. It only takes a little bit of time, but it will make a huge difference on Monday morning!
Monday morning can have a huge impact on your attitude and approach to the rest of the workweek. Work these tips into your downtime routine, and you’ll be recharged and ready to tackle Monday morning!

How cool is this set? A sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast, plus a box of sheet masks.
The main ingredients include caviar oil and bamboo sap. The sheet masks also include 'rare earth lanthanum' which is basically just another word for diatomaceous earth.
I like this, and I would re-purchase.
Still gotta wear sunscreen even though it's not summer anymore!
