🇪🇪 The Mayer Staircase in Tallinn is a shortcut from the Freedom Square to Toompea.
The staircase was built and financed in 1865 by the merchant and mayor Carl August Mayer, who transformed the hill that used to be the Inger bastion, into a green park area.
The beautiful vases on both sides of the staircase were originally ceramic, but replaced by the cast-iron ones shortly afterwards as the ceramic ones were broken by vandals.
The vases bear the coat of arms of Estonia: a golden shield with three blue lions and golden oak branches of both sides. The 8 vases are today protected heritage.
Take a moment to wander. Take a moment to appreciate 🍂 what do you think guys? ✨P.S. huge thanks to @mickeywong_productions for this video. Give this talented guy a follow 😉

The conditions got pretty horrible after Lanzhou.
My feet have never been colder, they felt like blocks of ice for days on end. Managed to find cheap hotels for the worst nights.
I hitched a lift on one pass, tires sliding all over the place, I could have persevered, but at that moment I wanted to get out the cold. I wanted to cycle every possible metre of the trip, I've had to think of a whole host of reasons to justify it to myself.
No one would take me, so I asked the police to help out. Turned into a propaganda photoshoot. Them pouring water into my mug and taking photos, even when there was no water in the kettle, things like that. Eventually, they got me a ride!
