  • Is Slipper Sunday a thing? If so, that’s what I’m participating in today 😁. 🍂 Usually Sunday afternoons are full of chores, errands, and basically getting ready for Monday. But today is different, friends. Today is like another Saturday because I’m off tomorrow! I love Sundays during 3 day weekends when the pressure of Monday isn’t hanging over your head. That’s why I’m spending the afternoon with the stack of easy reads. And then this evening we’re having a Lord Of The Rings marathon since @bfurlong40 found a LOTR/The Hobbit Blu-ray Disc combo. What are your afternoon plans?

  • Up next on the blog is THE MARSH KING’S DAUGHTER by @karendionneauthor! Special thanks to my friends at @putnambooks for this copy. I cannot wait to read this one as it comes heavily recommended by a ton of my Bookstagram friends! • Synopsis: Helena Pelletier has a loving husband, two beautiful daughters, and a business that fills her days. But she also has a secret: she is the product of an abduction. Her mother was kidnapped as a teenager by her father and kept in a remote cabin in the marshlands of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Helena, born two years after the abduction, loved her home in nature, and despite her father's sometimes brutal behavior, she loved him, too...until she learned precisely how savage he could be. More than twenty years later, she has buried her past so soundly that even her husband doesn't know the truth. But now her father has killed two guards, escaped from prison, and disappeared into the marsh. The police begin a manhunt, but Helena knows they don't stand a chance. Knows that only one person has the skills to find the survivalist the world calls the Marsh King--because only one person was ever trained by him: his daughter. • #themarshkingsdaughter #karendionne #gpputnamssons #novemberreads

  • “These are the things I didn’t know: when you first wake up in a dark wooden box, you’ll tell yourself this isn’t happening.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I read the first sentence of Find Her in the store, and then snapped the cover shut because I knew I would be reading this book. For a while now I’ve started reading the first page of books while browsing through, and that’s how I’ll know if it’s something that I need to read. I still decide based on covers and reviews and the synopsis, but this is just another way to decide if a book speaks to me! ❤️

  • Book review! 📚 . “A gust of wind blew through the campsite and caused the slowly dying fire to gutter, making their shadows dance in the orange light.” . A group of teenagers are out on a walking trip with a group leader, but pretty quickly there is tension within the group and some of them start to disappear... . I’ve never been much of a camper... I was forced to join the scouts when I was younger and I knew pretty quickly that this outdoors shit was not for me. The Moor has reinforced this aversion to camping 👀 it’s bad enough sleeping on a cold, hard floor, and heating up a can of beans over a fire that took far too long to light... but when your camping mates start disappearing, you got a REAL problem! No matter how annoying your camping mates may be (looking at you, Gary 👀) . This was an enjoyable, well-written creature-feature. The thirteen year old boys were very believable in their interactions, Haysom really nailed his characterisation. The setting of the moors itself was very chilling too. And I LOVED the inclusion of newspaper clippings to tell parts of the story - I’m always a fan of this when it’s done well! 👏🏻 . The direction that the story took was a little different than what I expected 🤔 initially I thought that was pretty cool, cos I like it when I read a book and I’m surprised, but in hindsight I might have preferred if it went down the route I was expecting from the start? It was still a really great twist - this was just perhaps more of a personal preference. . It really did remind me of The Ritual and The Blair Witch at times, but The Moor really does hold its own with a distinct and unique story. I would certainly be interested in reading future books from the author! . Worth picking up if you like a little bit of gore and books set in the great outdoors 🌲 . ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. . #jobisreviews . . . . . . . . . #themoor #samhaysom #bookreview #bookrecommendation #goodreads #horror #horrorfan #bibliophile #bookstagram #reading #igreads #bookworm #booknerd #booklover #booklove #lovebooks #bookish #bookaddict #read #fiction

  • ℝ𝔼𝕍𝕀𝔼𝕎_🌟🌟🌟🌟This was a powerful story for me! Cat blamed her father for the disappearance of Maryanne Doyle her whole life. Finally years later the truth comes out. Did she waste all those years were she could of had a great relationship with her father ? or is he the monster she suspect him to me ? The story had a great pace, and I didn't expect the ending. Which to me was a grand slam! The only issue I had with the book is I was getting annoyed about Cat and her relationship to her family. I just felt it got old for 3/4 of the book. I did enjoy Caz Frear's writing but I'm a French Canadian so reading a Scottish book was a bit challenging but I still managed to understand. I do recommend this book! Thank you to @harpercollinsca for providing me with this book. As usual, my reviews are my honest and unbiased opinions.

▫▫▫ #Austen #book #books #bookstagram #instabook #igreads #igbook #literature #picoftheday #photooftheday #photography #bookphotography #bibliophile #booklove #booklover #bookworm #igdaily #instadaily #read #reading #reader #novel #lettura #leggere #letteratura #libro #quote #quotes

  • Another week, another Monday, another book to start the week off. 📚 • Vivian Miller is a successful CIA analyst, mother of four children. One day, when she is working on a case to reveal a Russian spy cell, she comes across her worst nightmare - a file including a picture of her husband, listed as 'Friends'. Vivian's life turns upside down when she desperately tries to find out who and what to believe - and save her family at the same time. • I have quite mixed feelings about this book. On one hand it was fast-paced, interesting, and full of twists (and not all of them were predictable); but on the other hand it felt a bit too much like a tv series with its USA versus Russia setup - and I have to admit, I'm not too into spies and agents and what not, so it was a bit off-putting. An okay book for me, it was interesting enough to keep its reader hooked. #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #igbooks #igreads #bookworm #reading #bookish #karencleveland #needtoknow #kokototuus #kirjagram #kirja #lukeminen @gummeruskustannus

#bookstagram #goodreads #booklover #ilovebooks #instabook #booknerdigans #bookstagramfeature #booknerd #bookstagrammer #bookish #booksofinstagram #bookaddict #bookstagramfeature #bookaholic #bookblogger #igreads #bookgeek #booklove #vscobooks #retoliterario #ds #bdsm #literaturaerotica #Erotico #amosymazmorras #lenavalenti #2018

Was ist Dein liebster Beitrag? #thefutureisfemale #feminismus #frauenopower #instabook #bookstagram #igreads #igbooks #leseempfehlung #buchempfehlung #rezension #lesenswert #buch #bücherliebe

  • The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye - a much talked and highly raved about graphic novel. I won't go too much into it as it needs no introduction, but if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. A bold, refreshing take on Singapore's history and an absolutely engaging, thought-provoking blend of comics, art, biography and sociopolitical commentary.

"Sebab aku mencintaimu." "Mencintai seorang perempuan buruk rupa?" "Ya." "Kenapa?" "Sebab cantik itu luka." __ Rate : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #SENDUREVIEW #cantikituluka #weirdnissreview #weirdreads #booktographyid #berkolaborasiuntukindonesia #bookstagram  #bookphotography  #bibliophile #bookaddict  #photography  #bookish_indonesia #igreads  #vintage  #cozy  #flatlay  #paper  #openbook

  • When I was a child, I remember thinking that "Cassiopeia" was such a cool name for a constellation (yep, I was a science geek when I was younger... though I still am today! Hahaha 😂). Later on, I found out that it was named after the vain queen from the Greek Mythology who was punished by Poseidon because of her vanity. To appease him, she and the king sacrificed their daughter, Andromeda, to the sea monster that was sent to destroy their lands. Fortunately, Perseus was there to save the day! 😆 I still find the name very cool, but the queen? Not so cool 😂
