***WARNING RE AGODA!***So what happened was: low security @agoda, someone tried to book a hotel as a “gift” under my name. Apparently they don’t ask for the CCV code. Then I emailed to reverse the charges. They replied cold and rude. Then an hour later, someone else by the name of Michael Jeremy D. Lozano tried to book AGAIN. I was using a public IP, and the agent’s response was curt, cold and accusatory. In other words, they disregarded my complaint, and said I was the one who booked the hotel. TWICE. Okay, another reason not to book with them is their trust rating Hellopeter.com has them at 1.4/5 with a low trust index of 2.1/5. AND GUESS WHAT! Try booking from different devices or logging out. WATCH THE RATES CHANGE BY UP TO 30% higher and lower! And to think I’m a long time, round the world customer. I called my credit card company and they verified other attempts. I’ve been having minor issues with them but now this is it. AND ALL FOR USD 100 (PHP 5,400) My card company caught the second transaction and immediately reversed it. But the first one is still floating. AGODA WILL BAIT YOU into booking rooms and watch the fine print! Or better yet, once you get to your hotel, it’s not what you expect half the time. NO MORE AGODA. Did you know that hotels keep cheaper prices via website or phone call should you go direct? That’s why I quit AGODA last July and just use them to compare rates. Now I’ve really had it. No bad vibes. Good times all around and AGODA and agent “Michael” you are horrible people. May you be blessed with wisdom to treat your customers better. DO HONEST BUSINESS PLEASE. And you owe me a refund and an apology. Thank you. Don’t do Agoda folks. I hope this never happens to you.
