I suffered my entire youth with migraines and chronic pain. I will NOT let that happen to him. Every single night we both lay on our spinal rolls and watch hilarious cat videos 🐱 it’s our thing 🤣 When we lay on our rolls we are preserving the integrity of our cervical curves, preventing injury and making sure the brain communication can get to the body at 💯. 1 of the many things we do daily for our health!

  • I'm pretty sure the lazy bone gene runs in the family... . As energetic and excited as 2 year olds are, Ava still enjoys her evening routine of plonking herself down and watching a bit of telly before bed. It suits me though as I'll usually collapse down beside her and use the "but we're cuddling" excuse to get out of any chores (you do it too right?). . Once bedtime approaches, we take some @Vitabiotics Wellbaby Multi-vitamin Liquid to make sure Ava's vitamins and minerals are in check, clean her teeth, gather up her 2 babies, blanket and her dummy and off we scoot to bed… She's usually quite keen to go too! and I follow within an hour or two too! .   • Chronic fatigue. It's a cruel bastard! I've been doing really good with mine the last few months. To the point where I haven't needed naps during the day at all! But this weekend, while super fun and I've enjoyed every last second, has ripped me a new one. Struggled to stay awake this afternoon and now I have the telltale signs that the chronic fatigue is saying "oh hell no" Mild fever Slight headache Sore throat (actually losing my voice) Runny nose And the dreaded fatigue. So it's time for hot lemon and honey drinks and making sure I take my supplements.

  • The idea that your little one can have a seizure simply because of a fever is terrifying to any parent. But...knowledge is power so let’s learn about it. Febrile seizures occur in young children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years of age, with peak age at 2 years.  The fever can be simply due to a common cold, flu, ear infection or other illness.  Most febrile seizures are generalized convulsions in which the child will lose consciousness and both arms and legs will shake uncontrollably. But, most febrile seizures last a few minutes and do not cause long term health problems.  There is no evidence that a short febrile seizure causes brain damage. If a child has a febrile seizure this does not mean he will develop epilepsy.  Children with prolonged and/or recurrent febrile seizures are more likely to develop epilepsy.  2-5 percent of American children have a febrile seizure before the age of 5.  There is research going on currently to assess the effects of febrile seizures, especially prolonged ones, on brain structures such as the hippocampus.  This is an area in the brain that plays a role in memory and learning. When your child is sick make sure to check his or her temperature and treat. Consult your doctor. ~ WHAT TO DO IF IT HAPPENS? Here are the recommendations. •remain calm! •call ambulance •position child in a safe place such as the floor to prevent accidental injury to self •position child on his/her side or stomach to prevent choking •do not restrain the child during a convulsion •if there are objects in the child's mouth gently remove them if possible •nothing should be placed in the child's mouth during a convulsion as it can obstruct the child's airway and cause breathing difficulty ~ National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke for more info.
