  • The official close out of summer is upon us!! Which means, I guess I better get to posting these swimsuit shots before it becomes awkward when everyone only wants to see pumpkins and yellow leaves, and they continually say “it’s sweater weather!” // 🍂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as I tease.. I’m guilty, I’m totally that person as well. Summer has never been my jam even though I have a summer birthday! I’ve always been happiest bundled up, watching the leafs change and the snow fall. Needless to say, I’m ready to be super “basic” this fall and chase the changing colors while I drink my pumpkin spice matcha lattes! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you have favorite spots to experience fall?! I’m taking recommendations this year because I can’t decide where I should go! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ pc: @courtneylwilson

  • When I say this is the scariest thing I’ve ever done, that is not an exaggeration. The picture doesn’t do justice of just how small these little cave stairs were or the straight up and down ladders with chains and metal pegs you had to pull yourself up and down on. And the worst was when you got halfway down and the rocks, ladders, and chains were soaking wet due to the waterfall. I was SO glad to be done with this “hike.” Disclaimer: I had a small breakdown midway through and may have cried a little bit. definitely not my cup of tea. The last picture was ya finally at the waterfall and before I had to relive the torture and climb back up it. But hey... I DID IT!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

  • Happy FRIDAY!! ☀️🏜💦 . . Hi friends! I know I have been a little MIA lately. Life has been crazy between finishing up my 200 hr yoga teacher training, working full time as a PA, and traveling to some pretty amazing places like Havasupai! It’s all about finding that balance and sometimes instagram is on the bottom of priorities! But I’m back and I’m here today and I wanted to say hello to all my new followers and share a little about me! Thank you first and foremost for following me along this journey! I hope this page will inspire you, connect and create relationships, and spread positivity and love! . . The name is Anna. I currently work as a PA-C in Internal Medicine in Arizona. I have been here about 2 years. I graduated from University of Florida PA program and am a recipient of the NHSC scholarship. . . I have a passion for fitness, nutrition, and preventative medicine. I share this passion with my patients on a daily basis to help manage, cure, and prevent chronic diseases. I truly believe nutrition/lifestyle changes are the foundation of medicine and health care. I want to bridge the gap between fitness/health and the medical world! . . . In my my free time I love yoga, working out, lifting weights, running, hiking, traveling, making delicious food, and inventing new food prep recipes. . . . I am originally from SLC, UT. I am the oldest of 4. I grew up competitively dancing and swimming which has taught me so many skills, values, and traits that I possess today such as respect, team work, discipline, hard work, and time management. . . . A few random facts: Favorite color: purple. Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving or Fourth of July. Favorite season: Fall of course (birthday month) Favorite product: @eltamdskincare SPF face lotion Favorite protein: @vega_team chocolate sport protein Favorite vacation: Amalfi Coast, Italy . . . I hope you all have an awesome Friday and a great weekend! This is my LAST weekend of teacher training ah! . . ***I’d love to learn more about you! Comment below your name, where your from, what you do, and a fun fact about you! 💕*** . . If you want to learn more about me head over to @thepaplatform and check out my interview!

  • We concluded our uranium tour at the Canyon Mine. The Canyon Mine is located near Red Butte mountain — pictured here. Red Butte is a Havasupai sacred site known by the Havasupai nation as Wii’s Gdwissa, “clenched fist mountain.” The mine is a uranium mine with the potential to desecrate sacred sites and contaminate communities that have already been plagued by the toxic impacts of uranium mining. Pictured here: (left) Dianna from the Havasupai nation and (right) Senator Peshlakai—two powerful women dedicated to protecting these lands and all its peoples. This site will host an Intertribal gathering hosted by the Havasupai Tribe and community in October.

  • I suppose there are a million reasons why someone would put in the effort to come to remote, beautiful places, but this image largely captures it for me. . . The beauty of the place is, obviously, beyond description, and it's a joy to experience such views. But far more important to me is the opportunity to sit and reflect -- like my friend Ty ( @beujone ) is doing on the edge of pool on the left side of the image -- and just lose myself back into the planet. The only sounds you can hear are those that were formed long before ears evolved to hear them: the sounds of the Earth creating itself, reshaping itself, renewing itself. . . It was one of the many gifts of my undergraduate degree in Geology that I learned -- as best we are able -- how to see time from the Earth's perspective, measured in epochs rather than days, weeks or even years. When I sit with a stream in the bottom of a canyon, or on a boulder at the foot of a glacier, I can imagine the eons of time that have coalesced here, right now, to produce all of this... . . And equally importantly, I know that this is not the end state...this is literally a snapshot of a single point in time, and that what we think we know about this place will only be true from the perspective of time as WE measure it, but not as the Earth does. I don't know what this place will be 10 million years from now, but I understand it will not be the same. Not even close. . . I know that, as I was when I sat and took in this scene, like the Canyon, I, too, will not be the same years from now. This is a snapshot of who I am today, but if I am wise, I will make damn sure I'm not finished until I exhale for the very last time. I want to always see myself not just in space, but in time, too, and know that I can continue to create, reshape and renew myself, just as the Earth has always done. . . I am of the Earth, and in remote, beautiful places, I remember. So I will always come. . . . . #grandcanyon #canyon #arizona #desert #havasupai #waterfalls #hiketogether #hikewithyourwife #earthling #meditation

  • 🇷🇺 ниже / Everyone would tell you to hike back from Havasupai as early as possible. Cause it gets freaking hot by 9am so you’d better be in your car at Hilltop already by that time. ⠀ But that’s not an option of someone whose one self is a pure maximalist (the same one who thought it was such a great idea to walk through Central Park in NY all the way down, starting from Harlem). ⠀ After all, come on, no one on his right mind would leave that paradise unexplored! ⠀ But just the same it was in NY, the journey to the third falls, Beaver falls, was pretty much as impressive as Central Park in the Harlem area 😬 ⠀ No doubt it’s worth hiking, but just make sure you’re tough enough to handle both 10K trail to the falls and 16K hike back to the Hilltop. Cause the journey to the falls is not that smooth as you might expect.
