  • When I say this is the scariest thing I’ve ever done, that is not an exaggeration. The picture doesn’t do justice of just how small these little cave stairs were or the straight up and down ladders with chains and metal pegs you had to pull yourself up and down on. And the worst was when you got halfway down and the rocks, ladders, and chains were soaking wet due to the waterfall. I was SO glad to be done with this “hike.” Disclaimer: I had a small breakdown midway through and may have cried a little bit. definitely not my cup of tea. The last picture was ya finally at the waterfall and before I had to relive the torture and climb back up it. But hey... I DID IT!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

  • Many of you have asked me about HOW TO go to Havasupai Falls! 🚗 Here is my advice (for the rest, look at my Facebook as it wouldn’t all fit on here): . . 1. Join the Facebook group Havasupai and Havasupai Falls. 🏕 . 2. We hiked 31 miles in 2 days. 🏜 All of it except that last mile on the way out isn’t hard. It’s just LONG. So as you’re training, focus more on “time on your feet” rather than “difficult hikes.” You don’t need hiking poles unless you have horrible knees or if you’re hiking Mount Everest. Don’t rely on the mules or the helicopter to get you, or your baggage out. Your feet are good enough for the task. 🐴. . 3. Be Flexible. 🤸‍♂️ If you don’t want to book permits a year+ in advance because you have commitment issues like we do 😬🤷🏼‍♀️, be ready to go on a moment’s notice. . 5. What ever you do, make it to Beaver Falls. 💦 That is all on this one. . 6. Don’t let your fear talk you out of going down to Mooney. 😱 It really wasn’t that bad. Just keep at least one hand on a chain the entire time. No one has ever died on those ladders, you know 😉 You also don’t need gloves. 🧤. . 8. We took a Jetboil Flash with a coffee filter and had most of our freeze-dried meals / coffee in it. ☕️ No matter where you stay, it’s highly worth it. Also nice not to have to rely on all the fried food at the cafe / vendors or their hours of operation. Bring tortillas to put your freeze dried meals in. Way yummier and easy to eat. . 9. Read your coffee creamer label carefully. If it says “concentrated” and “24 servings per extremely tiny bottle”, then don’t squeeze half of it in 1 cup of coffee 😬😳🤦🏼‍♀️ ☕️ . 10. Stay at Grand Canyon Caverns Inn the night before you hike down. We stayed a night in Vegas on the way home (mostly just for yummy food), but you could drive home too. It’s 7-8 hours from the hilltop to where I live if you do it in a day. . 12. Make friends with a massage therapist and bring one with you 🤣😂👌🏼 . 13. We really didn’t have any regrets. I don’t know how the trip could have possibly gotten any better. It really was a dream come true!! 🙌🏼

  • Havasu Falls, Arizona. A magical place that requires you to earn the views. No parking lot tourists or tour buses allowed.

  • ✨ The Falls of Havasupai ✨ The day we arrived it had rained, we were tied and sore, the Falls were brown, and to be honest ..I was mildly disappointed. We set up camp, spent the rest of the day relaxing, and by the next morning the water cleared and the flash flood warning expired! 🙌🏻 From this point on each day became more captivating. I am very thankful for the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of this canyon. I have also come to appreciate the rare “chocolate” falls that greeted us on arrival. 🙏❤️ #bucketlist #havasufalls #mooneyfalls #beaverfalls #fiftyfootfalls #navajofalls #havasucampground #waterfalls #thankfulthursday #ifyoucanYouneedtoGO

  • h a v a s u p a i 💦 . . . believe it or not, this incredible waterfall isn’t just a twelve mile hike into a canyon! for this gem you’ve also got to add another four miles of waist deep river crossings, windy trails with rock climbing aspects and of course a serious climb down a very sketchy waterfall! was it worth it? well considering i made the trek twice, i’d say yes . . . special shout out to @_ajt_ for climbing back up the trail to capture this epic shot! you are a legend! #havasupai #havasupaifalls
