Wish you were... where? 🤔
Today my work's radio station played Neil Young's Heart of Gold, a song which takes me back to 1991, the Coogie Bay Hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs every time. This song and Knocking on Heaven's Door were staples for whoever - band or solo artist - was playing live on Sunday lunchtimes in the beer garden. I think they were written into the contract or something! 🤣
And while i am reminiscing, here's another #shelfie - a throwback to a visit to Hay on Wye earlier in the year. This is part of the outdoor honesty bookshop in the Castle grounds. If you haven't been to the town full of second hand bookshops, why not!? 📚
Luckily, I have booked a visit to the Brecon Beacons next month. Whilst it's intended as a walking holiday, it will of course take in the obligatory excursion to #bookheaven for a little browse. 📚
Where's your #happyplace ?
My fingers are freezing and white and stiff, making it hard to write. But I don't want to put on a sweater because the breeze from the open window feels so, so nice. And I don't want to close the window because then I can't hear the birds outside.
These go up to my elbows. It's the perfect compromise to find that comfort zone, which is ALWAYS achievable. Find a way!

16 months / 1 year 4 months
So here's me, two very different people.
👈🏼 I was a shell of a person, (had skin problems because of my lack of nutrients hence the rash under my arm, I had just got back from a trip with work, angry at what I'd eaten the 2 weeks I was away whilst living in a swanky hotel (Nutella pancakes & full English breakfasts) totally binging out, only 4 months after being diagnosed and already on route to recovery with amazing progress. (Even thinking about that kind of food was a big step never mind actually consuming it!)
Those pancakes made me feel bad straight after I ate them... and the week I came home (this photo) but having forced myself to not think about it and keep it down, I was full of energy and life! And had I not of done it, I wouldn't be where I am today. FOOD IS BAE 🙌🏼 ⠀
👉🏼 happy, training, eating a surplus, starting to really see some progress physically in 16 months!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along my journey (there are so many but for two:
🔹all of you for lifting me up with every thoughtful comment, like and follow
🔹 aaaaand all my friends & family who listened to me moan about my body and food 24:7
I love you all so much and you make me who I am today ❤️
RESIDENCE MYKONOS is my HAPPY PLACE which hasn’t changed (literally and metaphorically) since I discovered it when I was 15 years old. This place is associated in my memory with love affairs and friendships created, lost and occasionally revisited. With tears, laughter, heartaches, joys, carefree summer days, sultry summer nights, and magic dawns. It has known me as a teenager, an adult, a girlfriend, a lover, a mistress, a wife, a mother, an eternal child. I came to my island last Friday for a party and following an emotional breakthrough I decided to stay for 4 more days, completely on my own, a rare luxury in the world of motherhood. This video will be my ENERGY PILL for the winter coming soon . . . #happyplace#emotionalbreakthrough#energypill#residencemykonos#mykonos#mymykonos#ilovemykonos#fallinmykonos#mykonoswhereelse#dieforyou
