Hello Deer! What's your favourite castle in Britain? Edinburgh? Conwy? Warwick? Leeds? Bodiam? For me, it's hard to beat the beauty of this incredible place - Windsor Castle. How wonderful is this shot captured by @neiljamesb with the deer looking most majestic walking across “The Long Walk"... and in the distance the 948-year old castle itself 🏰
Let's tuck into a large slab of delicious history: In 1066, when William the Conqueror claimed victory at the Battle of Hastings, the Forest of Windsor was already established - serving as a vital resource for the people who lived in the area. But it was William the Conqueror who was the first monarch to be inspired by the grasslands of Windsor Great Park as a place to build a residence. In fact, the outer walls of Windsor Castle as they stand today are the same walls which were constructed by William the Conqueror - and some of the original oaks planted during his reign a thousand years ago, can still be seen standing tall within the Park now. Just amazing.
Ahh to be a King. Still, I'm the king of my garden shed and there is a slab of fruit cake waiting for me there. Have a great Tuesday! Super shot by @neiljamesb 🇬🇧 Want your Photos of Britain to be featured? Follow us and then add the tag #photosofbritain and tag us in the picture too! 🇬🇧
Hi all @above_and_beyond_visuals here taking over the DRONEGEAR account.
I am a soon to be hopeful future licensed drone pilot here in the Jersey Channel Islands. For the love of aerial photography I have I can’t stress to anybody enough, if you have an interest never ever give up, people may drag you down but no matter the situation you should never ever give up. I hope through my page I can inspire many others like me and take them on a trip through my journey to how I approach our world 🌍 I would also like to take this time to pay my respects to all the men and women out there who put their lives on the line to keep us from harms way 👊🏻

Entrance hall, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top, Lake District, Cumbria, UK
The Lake District is as advertised. The mountains were taller than I expected. Very dramatic landscapes with quaint English villages and narrow, winding lanes. Beatrix Potter’s House was much as you might expect. Pretty, a fair number of cute knick knacks and art, a nice little garden. Her dollhouse was especially neat. Everything in the house belonged to her in her life. It’s pretty much just as she left it.

I'm certain everybody knows this guy next to me - PADDINGTON BEAR:)
Obviously, my first assosiation when I heard the name of this railway station was this cutie pie.
Do you like this movie?
