“When your spirit cries for peace, come to a world of canyons deep in the old land, feel the exultation of high plateaus, the strength of moving waters, the simplicity of sand and grass, the silence of growth.” ~August Frugé
An optimistic would look at this and say, damn I love splashing in puddles! The pessimist would say those puddles are going to get your socks wet and cause blisters. The realist would scroll to the second pic and say holy shit, you’re gonna slip in the mud and fall off the side!
Hiking up the 14 Mile long (6,000 ft. elevation gain) N. Kaibab Trail from the floor of the GRAND CANYON to the North Rim. (with a 30 lb. backpack)
We ran into deer, bats, bighorn sheep, skunks, elk, rattlesnakes, owls, etc. during the trip. We also encountered snow, torrential rain, blistering heat, and strong winds.....The whole experience really brought things into perspective for me!! #notforthefaintofheart#grandcanyon#rim2rim2rim

Wow, one of the highlights of my day. Seeing a family of Elk roaming around the Grand Canyon.
