  • I’m not going to lie, when I first started training I was all in. All I wanted was to look the best, win trophies and grow my muscles 💪😜 it literally consumed my life. Now my priorities have shifted a bit. I’d rather eat pizza than be ripped, I’d rather go out and drink with my friends than win a plastic trophy and I’d rather have more life experiences and grow more mentally than physically. Don’t get me wrong, I still love working out and always will but it’s not my main priority. But the wonderful thing about fitness is that you don’t have to be all in in order get results. If you find your life is consumed by all things fitness and diet related and you aren’t happy, it’s probably time to re evaluate your methods. I never thought balance was possible, but here I am living my best life, looking and feeling my best and I still have an ass to show for it🤷‍♀️🍑😂💪 It’s all about working smart, not hard 🤓 what do u think?   • Six miles for me this Sunday and 12 miles for the husband a.k.a. dad & Pamela! I was trying to be conservative and keep my "long" run at 6 miles. I'm not trying to aggravate my ankle & just keep myself trained for these couple of months of half marathons. I took my bike out for the first 6 miles with husband and Pam when we met Jerry, the retired sports physician (I think that's what he told me) who was running 13 miles yesterday morning. He told us he has been running all his life and hopes to be able to continue to do so for the remainder of his life. His wife, also a Dr., is also a runner. He said he hoped he didn't age himself by telling a running story from 1951. To his credit, he didn't appear that old. (my mom wasn't even born then and I'm in my 40's, lol) Proof to all of those who tell me......and I hear it frequently; I'm too old to run, blah, blah and more blah. Age is only a number beyond your control. He continued to tell me running stories as I rode and he ran while the husband & Pam went on back to meet up with the rest of our morning running crew. We talked about the Back on My Feet Marathon Relay - Indianapolis that was going on at the top of the Canal before I had to head back to meet up with my ladies and husband. I finished my morning with 6 miles on the bike, 6 running miles with the original crew and our morning additions, Sandy and Rickie. Então não deixe de interagir, dar sugestões ou tirar dúvidas pois queremos falar sobre aquilo que é relevante para VOCÊ!⠀ ⠀ Talvez uma das maiores dificuldades quando o assunto é levar uma vida mais ativa fisicamente ou atingir o condicionamento e corpo tão sonhados esteja em manter a rotina de exercícios de forma consistente ao longo da semana, ou seja, ter a disciplina e motivação para se exercitar sem faltar a academia. Mas motivação e disciplina à parte, é inevitável a pergunta: quantas vezes por semana, de fato, devo treinar?!⠀ ⠀ Claro que a depender dos seus objetivos e configuração do seu treino, o número de sessões de treino semanais podem variar bastante, mas a frequência de treino ideal é objeto de estudo científico e há muita informação útil para ajudá-lo a atingir seus objetivos!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Ao longo da semana abordaremos o que a ciência nos diz a respeito de quantas vezes temos que treinar, principalmente no que tange ganhos de força e massa muscular, mas gostaríamos de saber de você: quantas vezes por semana estimula cada músculo? Acha um número adequado ou acha que deveria treinar mais? Conta pra gente nos comentários, quem sabe a mãozinha que você precisa nos treinamentos não esteja aqui!⠀

  • Gearing up for detox after 2 weeks. . BREAKFST: green juice . MORNING SNACK: green apples with cinnamon, lemon juice and raisins. . LUNCH: my left over homemade Thai green curry with 1/2 brown rice/ and 1/2 white rice (happens when my lunch box gets switched in a rush with my hubby! Lol otherwise it would have been quinoa! Hey that’s the fun part about life!) . DINNER: Red lentil cooked in vegetable broth and brown rice with an avocado 🥑 . What am I eliminating from my lifestyle today and for the rest of the week? . #1 No caffeine. I’ve skipped my matcha today. I replaced it with chamomile tea and turmeric/ginger tea. #2 I’m off dairy 🥛 (no yogurt, no clarifies butter, no milk or milk chocolates). Last week I tried eliminated all processed sugars. It’s amazing every single packaged sauces and juices are packed with processed sugars. . This is preparing for an intense detox after mid October! . Join me daily on IG as I follow my plan to get my weight in balance after intense work schedule, calm my stress hormones down and reboot and recharge myself! . Every time I’ve had intense working months, I do a reboot to supercharge my body with nutrition and workouts. 4 times a year at a minimum. .
