  • It’s amazing what no inflammation in your body looks like ✊🏼 I’m on holidays here so stress is low, sleep is a 10/10 and nutrition wise food is clean 🌱🌱 Oh, and I’m free of alcohol too ⚡️⚡️ Seeing a holiday picture though as I think we all do think god I look relaxed, lean, happy... Since I’ve been back working crazy hours again sleeping less and of course, less sun and fun my go tos have become great anti inflammatory spices like fresh ginger, cinnamon and turmeric. I’m consciously drinking more tea than coffee, eating foods such as green leafy vegetables, blueberries and chia. Less sauces and salt too! Just minimal changes but I’m staying less bloated. I’m also off tap water.! I might be slow to catch on here but honestly tap water upsets my tummy. Anyone else?? Im super curious on what others are doing to reduce Inflammation in their bodies?? Inflammation can cause so many health issues so making some small changes daily can save you and your guts 💫 Happy Saturday #health #inflamation #transformation #guthealth #fitgirl

  • I asked, you answered 💁‍♀️ Overwhelming response to whether I should start posting workout videos and here we are 🔥 ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ I currently train legs 3 - 4 times a week. One heavy quad/glute focussed day, one heavy hamstring/glute focussed day and one lighter hamstring/glute focussed day. Can you tell what I love training more 😂🍑 ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ These are a few of my favourite hamstring/glute focussed exercises that I do on my lighter days. I bring the weight down and focus on tempo, tension and feeling the muscles actually work. I’m extremely quad dominant which means that my quads kick in when I do pretty much ANY exercise so bringing the weight down and using bands help me activate my glutes more.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🍑 Resistance Band Hamstring Curls ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ My apartment gym doesn’t have a lying hamstring curl machine so yo girl has to improvise. I aim for 15 slow and controlled reps for 3 - 4 sets and superset with resistance bands kickbacks (second video) to get my hamstrings and booty firing.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🍑 Banded Leg Press⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Without the bands, quad movement only. With bands, complete booty burnout 😂 I’m only doing around 40kg here but again, focusing on using my glutes to extend my legs. Usually hit about 10 reps for 3 - 4 sets.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🍑 Squats⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ I hate squats. I really do which is weird because they used to be my favourite lift (RIP powerlifting days). You’ll see I push my hips back quite a bit, I do a hip break squat instead of the normal ass to grass because this activates my hamstrings and glutes more. I superset with single leg glute bridges so my glutes buuuuurn (I find this helps with keeping them switched on when I squat) ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🍑 Paused Romanian Deadlifts⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ I like the pause at the bottom because it really works on the stretch through the hamstrings at the bottom. I reset after every rep and make sure I pull from my glutes when going for the next one. Supersetted these with sumo kettlebell squats, again driving my hips back and focusing on the glute lockout at the top. Usually aim for 10 - 12 reps for 3 - 4 sets for both 🔥 ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Bookmark and save for your next workout! Let me know what other workouts you want to see!

  • Are you aware of how bad soil conditions have become due to over farming and other environmental factors? Nowadays you have to eat like 30 apples to get the same nutrition people got from 1 apple in the 1920s. Swipe to the next photo to see a chart illustration. No wonder people are going crazy, right? Think about that. Even if you eat one salad a day and a piece of fruit you’re not getting even close to the 11 servings of fruit and veggies in one serving of Opti Greens.   • “Thinks to promote unhealthy food is okay because everyone on Instagram does it so I should too.” Honestly, screw what social media makes me feel like I need to be. Personally, I don’t care much for unhealthy foods anymore, I’m not saying I don’t eat them, because I do, because not all the time. But I always feel bad when I see some girls posting a box of pizza or doughnuts, and I’m like “ugh why don’t I eat that?” It’s because I don’t want too, my body doesn’t crave it, and just because someone else is eating it doesn’t mean I need to be pressured to eat it. Shame on me for letting social media control me in these ways. 😒 - If you want a doughnut, a cookie, a soda, girl you do it. But if you don’t, and you’ve been doing so good on your lifestyle and what you’re eating, you’re okay to say NO to something that might just make ya feel bloated and like shit later that day. That’s what happens when I eat crap food, I FEEL like crap. 😬 - Anyway, the Jist of this message? Do what the heck you wanna do and that makes you FEEL good. Water, greens, protein, whole carbs, make me FEEL good. Processed BS makes me sick, bloated, and hurt, so I eat it all sparingly. Not because I’m wanting to “restrict” but because truly when I do indulge in something processed 9 times out of 10 I always end up feeling sick and my stomach miserable. 😭 - Thank you for coming to my TED tlk again 😹

  • Uhuuuuu!!! Foram 4 kg em 15 dias! Talvez não seja tão visível nas fotos... mas acreditem eu notei diferenças principalmente em meus braços (afinaram consideravelmente) e na barriguinha! Foram 15 dias .. um desafio! O primeiro passo! Mas eu venci! E estou orgulhosa... nunca tive tão focada assim em outras vezes ou outras tentativas! Mas dessa vez é realidade... eu mudei a chavinha aqui dentro da minha cabecinha! E isso fez total diferença... como eu disse quando encontramos uma motivação que nos faz lutar é diferente! E por isso que esses 15 dias não foi terrorismo na minha vida. Até pq minha família me ajudou... se adaptando as refeições saudáveis. Bom tá aí o resultado da 1° fase! Vou postar quais foram meus acertos, meus erros, minhas maiores dificuldades e os benefícios q senti durante esses dias... e bora pra 2° fase! (Postarei como será) 🤗
