Just confirming you are still in @Australia – at the serene #LakeBarrine in the @AthertonTablelands 📍 Once an active volcano some 17,000 years ago, you can now explore the lake by diving, kayaking or walking around the 6km rim for impressive views like this 🙌 Don't forget to try the famous scones at the Lake Barrine Teahouse too, their secret recipe will leave you wanting more 😋 Photo by @timsperin#exploreTNQ
22.06.18 ~ "This is the day Max has been waiting for for a long time, the start of The Old Tele Track... The first creek crossing involved an insane vertical drop in, and the second crossing we had water over the bonnet, through the windows, in my face and on my lap. Sooo wet, so stoked."
Can not wait for us all to go swimming again 🏊 Goldi is a beast.
Off to find nemo. 🐠🐡🐙 💦
Tip: if you want to swim with turtles without having to pay for an expensive boat trip or travel out to the reef, Fitzroy island has loads of turtles just chilling off the shoreline. We splashed around with them all day! 🐢💦 #fitzroyisland
The sky goes higher but Instagram cut my photo shorter 😑. Anywayyyyy can we all appreciate how gorgeous my baby girl is! AND that she sat there on the rock long enough for me to take a photo!! WINNING!! Overall I’m happy with the image but I’m always looking for ways to improve. 💕🌤

🇦🇺 This turtle on the Great Barrier Reef is so majestic! Located on the Queensland coast, it’s one of the most spectacular places in the world! 🐢 -
If you ever get a chance, definitely visit the GBR whilst in Australia. It’s an opportunity not to be missed! -
Who do you want to go here with?

Picture perfect 😍 weather means it's time for some reeftail therapy!!!
Last week I received a request of a teacher from Belgium if I wanted to set up a skype session with her class of 8 year olds as they were having a project running about our oceans.
Skyping from Australia, I was bombarded with questions for 45min such as: "how big is the ocean? How do dolphins swim? Have you seen a shark attacking a whale yet? Are turtles cool? And so on... It was incredibly awesome to feel how interested they were about everything there is to know about the Great Barrier Reef and its Marine life.
But the highlight of our conversation for sure was, when a little girl told me she realised how bad plastic was for our oceans. They also promised me to not use any plastic straws anymore to protect our turtles and and other marine life from suffocating
It filled my hearth with warmth, waving them goodbye. 🖐🙏❤

After two weeks of unsealed roads, millions of corrugations, dust holes and washouts, we’re finally back on solid bitumen. There’s a thick layer of red dust all over everything, the carpet is wet from a dip in a creek, and our bones have been rattled to breaking point - but boy has it been an adventure. We’ve not had reception for more than a hour or two total these last weeks, but we can’t wait to share our journey through the Cape York Peninsula soon. Next stop - Central Queensland! ☀️
