It’s so hard to get good photos of the 4 of them together! 😑 I started randomly taking pictures whenever they’re all in the same “shot area” 📸 and to my surprise, I actually end up liking those way better than the posed ones! 🤩

Life’s been pretty crazy, and not in a bad way at all. As I began thinking about what this year has taught me and shown me, I’m beginning to realize more and more how in love I am with the idea that sparked @shoptallgrass Thankfully all these opportunities this past year has brought has helped grow my ability to be cohesive and map out designs, be organized with my ideas, and hone in on what I want to accomplish. I’ve had a lot of great conversations lately with @megan_ft and my dad (aka my people I always call up when an idea strikes), and as if a sign today I got a super important email out of the blue that confirmed my vision for Tallgrass.
Oklahoma has so many amazing things to offer. From the exploding local food / coffee / beer scene to the amazing scenery that’s being shared thanks to accounts like @thisisoklahoma
I’m so excited to see this state grow in its appreciation for all things local, and I can’t wait to help promote this with @shoptallgrass
After all my road trips and flights around the world, the stories I always love to tell are the camping trips I had with my friends, even if it was only Lake Thunderbird. Or the time my high school friends and I tried to cook a catfish we caught. Or seeing bison with my dad when I was little. #adventurelocal isn’t about trying to compete with Banff or Yosemite as far as jaw dropping landscapes, it’s just a nod to the damn good times that can be found every time we step out the door. 🤙🏻
Stoked for this next season!
Was asked recently if I still do photography. Yep, life looks a lot different lately. Do I still pick up a camera? Absolutely. As much as I like? Not really, but I’m sure damn grateful for what I have going on. I spend a lot more time at my desk and less out shooting. And shooting much less photos I want to share on here. Whether it’s capturing content for brands, shooting weddings, or doing family minis it’s all a huge honor. But the more I do it, the more I find a draw to separate and compartmentalize my work and my life. For now, I find taking iPhone pics of my day to day routine more fulfilling than sharing things hoping to one day “be discovered” on this silly little app. And I’m saving to invest in new mediums to share my work: film + print. But I also have found new mediums of creativity, whether it’s doing logo work, video editing, and even just drawing illustrations in my notebook. Basically, I just want to reiterate I’m not dead and definitely haven’t given up on anything!
Just wrapped up this identity project for the good people at @highrailbrewingco. Can’t wait to see their vision come to life.

Last night Rosie decided to leap out of our back car window, run down the street, and leap into a random car that pulled up and opened its door. Luckily the lady inside was super sweet and immediately took her to the Humane Society and we picked her back up an hour later. Scariest moment of our life? Considering she kicked parvo’s ass last month not really. She’s a curious little fighter with a lot of spunk.
Reminded myself what 7.5mi feels like this morning! When thunder gave way to 🌧️ around mile 1, I honestly thought about turning around. But that would have only sparked feelings of regret, and I'm glad I stayed on course!
