Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacial.
Are you experiencing “Winter Skin” already? Then consider a photo facial! Also known as an “IPL” ( Intense Pulsed Light) this short, no-downtime procedure is a great way to rejuvenate the skin. This treatment rejuvenates the skin and reduces visible signs of sun damage. .
The procedure uses a broad light spectrum to target broken capillaries, rosacea, redness, age spots, sun spots, and fine lines.
Although the treatment is most commonly done on the face, it can also be done on the hands, chest, and neck.
A series of treatments is necessary to achieve optimal results. Repeated IPLs have been shown to induce new collagen formation and also improve skin texture. Treatments are typically spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Some patients complaining of those stubborn brown spots prior to the treatment, will notice they turn darker immediately following treatment BUT not to worry, they typically flake off within 5-14 days. .
