  • It feels a lot like the end of November instead of the middle of October today so I'm glad to be spending it at home. The only thing I love about sitting at my desk is watching out of the window, watching this storm as it develops is absolutely beautiful. I'm currently taking a break because I've been up since 6am and it feels like I've already had a full day and my back it absolutely killing me from being hunched over my laptop for so long. Listening to our bodies when it tells us it needs a break is so hard. It took me a lot of hours of therapy to learn to listen to that little voice. Pushing myself to the point of pain and exhaustion is not OK. Do you listen to that little voice when it tells you you need a break? I hope you do. I'm so excited to finally read Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak and The Lost Carousel of Provence by Juliet Blackwell. I've heard such good things about both of them and they've been on my TBR list for ages. I'm currently reading five books so I can't possibly add any more but they'll definitely be my next reads. Have you read either of them? If so what did you think of them? Thank you so much @berkleypub for sending me these beautiful titles. Happy Monday lovelies, I hope you're having a great day 💕 #hygge #onthebed #momentsofmine #culturetripbooks #currentlyreading

  • ₁₀.₁₆ Hey! What are you reading this week? ͎ “Every reader, as he reads, is actually the reader of himself. The writer's work is only a kind of optical instrument he provides the reader so he can discern what he might never have seen in himself without this book. The reader's recognition in himself of what the book says is the proof of the book's truth.” – Marcel Proust ͎ I’m reading À LA RECHERCHE DU TEMPS PERDU, by Marcel Proust. For this Wednesday, I’m also reading Chapters 29 to 43 of SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES for the read-along discussion session hosted by Bex (@outofthebex) #readsomethingwicked. If you like to join it and if you’ve read until chapter 43 of this book, go to her feed tomorrow and join the discussions. ͎ n e w r e a d Today, I’m also starting THE DHARMA BUMS, by Jack Kerouac, where “two ebullient young men search for Truth the Zen way: from marathon wine-drinking bouts, poetry jam sessions, and ‘yabyum’ in San Francisco's Bohemia to solitude in the high Sierras and a vigil atop Desolation Peak in Washington State. Published just a year after On the Road put the Beat Generation on the map, The Dharma Bums is sparked by Kerouac's expansiveness, humor, and a contagious zest for life.” ͎ I actually started it a while ago in audiobook. It was interesting and pretty cool because Allen Ginsberg narrates it on Audible. But there’s something about audiobooks that makes me not focus at all. So I left it. I prefer reading it myself, I guess. I need that optical instrument that Proust said. ͎ So, what about you? What are you reading this week? ͎ #beardy #reading ͎ p.s. no more lowercase. i’m still going to use it here and there, but not for the whole thing. it’s irritating. lol

  • Leaving my heart in Copenhagen 🇩🇰❤️ I think I took 1028493 photos of Nyhavn over course of the weekend... but I’m 0% mad about it. How picture-perfect is this place?! 😍🙌🏻 • This weekend has been SUCH an incredible reminder to me of just how special the crime fiction community really is. A few years ago, I was living in Texas, and was just becoming a fan of a Danish author named Sara Blaedel... and now I’m STILL a fan (an even bigger fan now, actually 😂), but I’ve been able to spend the past few days in her hometown of Copenhagen, seeing the sites & hanging out with her & her wonderful son! I’m SO, so fortunate, and just hugely thankful for this opportunity. This little vacation has me feeling even more inspired and ready to get back to NYC and back to blogging. There’s nothing like making real-life friends out of our shared love of crime fiction. ❤️ • CBTB will be getting back to usual shortly - thank you guys so much for all your enthusiastic messages & comments as I’ve been adventuring around Copenhagen this weekend. It’s been SO wonderful to share this vacation with you, and I will be back with reading updates, book reviews, and all that good stuff as soon as I get back to NYC! 😉❤️ • Just for the fun of it, I’d love to hear from you: have you made any “real-life” friends from bookstagram?! Let’s spread some bookworm love!! 🤓❤️

  • Werbung/ Verlinkung . . . . 🇬🇧I'm so in love with this series. I've read it a hundred times and I'll could read it once again. It's a apocalyptic book, not many action include but I think it's a deep story. I love how Miranda wrote her diary to show us how difficult and hard such a life is. . . #dieweltwiewirsiekannten #susanbethpfeffer #thelifeweknew #tattoo #harrypottertattoo

#ilpozzodellasolitudine #corbaccio #radclyffehall #bookstagram #bibliophile #book #libridaleggere  #libriovunque #instalibri #reading #bookstagrammer #reading #instabook #bookshelf #consiglidilettura #libri #leggere #italiainlettura #instareads #bookaddict #booksofinstagram #bookphotography #bookaholic #igreads #booklove #bookster #read #bookslove #citazioni

  • @randomhouse #partner | #Spookathon reading update coming at ya! 👻 Yesterday was a crazy day, but I managed to finish Providence which I gave 3 🌟 . I am mulling over it a bit more, but will share a review in the next day or two. I also started My Best Friend's Exorcism and so far I'm enjoying it. It feels very true to adolescence. Tomorrow I am going on a work trip and think I will be taking Heartbreaker along to read. It's a short trip and realistically I won't have a ton of time for reading, but I cannot travel without a book. What about you? Do you always travel with at least one book even when you know you might not have time for reading?

📖 #AventurasFabioeNina

  • New Steven Pressfield! Nobody’s books are as motivating. “Turning Pro” was the exact kick in the pants I needed at a time in my life where I felt a bit lost regarding where my career was headed. Learning about resistance and the different stages of the hero’s journey helped me build resilience during those “what the fuck am I doing?” moments. For those not in the know, Pressfield’s also the author of Legend if Baggar Vance. And his self-help books (I’m not sure what other category they fit under) for creative types are all about battling inner demons and taking your art seriously, working at it tirelessly, and staying humble throughout it all. They’re about finding meaning in work and understanding that the road to success is long, full of chance, and potentially thrilling. I’m halfway through “The Artist’s Journey” already and am going to read a few more pages before I start my work day. What are you reading right now? I’m ready for an adventure or fiction break after this one! ——————— #artistsjourney #amreading #igbooks #bookworm #writing #art #artist #stevenpressfield #bookstagram #book #bookaholic #bookish

Sonra siz böyle şapşal şapşal bakıp “Vay canına be! Ne akıllı, ne bencil, ne mutlu canlılar.” diye şaşırıp kalıyorsunuz. Son derece keyifli, aynı zamanda eğitici, harika bir çalışma. Bence mutlu olmak isteyenler okusun! 😺😻 5/5

Well... as much as I want this theme to be over to make my next theme ideas corporeal & rehearse my thoughts to see how it would be better, I have no motivation/ideas to take last pictures of the theme.😥 I just want to lie down & read (Sherlock) books or watch (atm: Sherlock) episodes.😆 ■ I'm still Sherlocked!😁🙌🎩 So probably you will see different bookish photos with these beautiful books.😍 I love posters as book covers.😍🙌 - Comment '🙌' if you read the whole caption. 📚 📚 CR: the hound of the Baskervilles (Sherlock Holmes) 📚 📚 #bookenchantress92 #shelfie_bookenchantress #topfavbooks_bookenchantress
