Why yes, this is one of the weirdest photos I’ve ever posted, but let me tell you about my ear...
Last night I was helping Kali into the car when I managed to crack my head off the boot/trunk... and apparently do some damage to my ear (I’m pretty sure I’ve perforated my eardrum). I know, freak accident right?! Or not....
If you’ve read #youcanhealyourlife by #LouiseHay, or any of the other books that groundbreaker led to, you’ll know that our physical symptoms often show us what’s going on emotionally or mentally - something I’m really passionate about working with in counselling.
But what never fails to amaze me is the accidents that bring about some of those physical symptoms and the messages they carry. A few years ago when I was doing too much and refusing to slow down I had a huge car accident - literally the Universe telling me to stop and forcing me to take some time out to recover. Last year when I was ignoring the nagging in my gut to walk away from a situation that had become a real pain in the neck, I slipped on some ice and gave myself whiplash (it doesn’t help that I am hella clumsy 🙈) - time to deal with the literal pain in my neck!
👂🏻 This week? Well apparently somebody is reminding me it’s time to listen to the whisperings they’ve been giving me the past few weeks. I get it I’m listening!
As the old saying goes, there’s no such thing as coincidence. But there’s also rarely anything that is a complete accident... pay attention to the injuries, the symptoms, the illnesses, and to what your body and the wider world is trying to tell you through them. And during the times you’re really struggling to work through and past those things, get in touch - that’s definitely something we can talk through in #SoulCenteredCounselling ❤️xx
